A Squarespace alternative for therapists.

Squarespace is a good tool if you enjoy building your own website, but you do the work, pay every month, and its contact forms can't be used for health details. Stepflow does all of it for you, once, and the website is yours with no monthly fee.

The short answer

  • Squarespace: you build and look after it yourself, and pay every month.
  • Stepflow: we do all of it, you pay once, and it’s in your practice’s name.
  • Squarespace says its contact forms can’t be part of a HIPAA-compliant setup. Ours never ask for health details.

Which one is right for you?

An honest answer. Squarespace is the better choice for some practices.

Squarespace may suit you if…

  • You enjoy design and have the time to build and update your website yourself.
  • You want to change things often, on your own, the moment you think of them.

Stepflow may suit you if…

  • You’d rather spend your time with clients than building a website.
  • You want a contact form that’s careful with privacy, set up for you.
  • You want a fees & insurance page and specialty pages written for you.
  • You want to stop paying every month.

Moving from Squarespace, step by step.

No tech skills needed. We do all of it, and your booking keeps running the whole time.

  1. Free website check

Send us your Squarespace website. You get a simple report: what's working, and what might be costing you clients.

  2. See it before you pay

If you'd like, we build a preview of your new homepage using your own words and photos. If you don't love it, you owe nothing.

  3. We move everything over

Your words, photos and booking link come with you. Your booking keeps running the whole time, and Squarespace keeps running until the new website is live.

  4. It’s yours

Your web address points to the new website and is put in your practice's name. Then you can cancel Squarespace.

Can I keep my web address if I leave Squarespace?

Yes. If you bought it through Squarespace, it can be moved out. If you bought it elsewhere, it just needs to point to the new website. We help with every step and put it in your practice’s name.

Can I keep my words and photos?

Yes. They’re yours. We bring them over, and tidy them up if you’d like.

Can I still make changes myself?

Yes. You get an easy editor to change your hours, fees or bios. Or ask us, and we’ll do it.

I use Acuity for booking. Does that change?

No. Your booking system, schedule and booking link stay exactly as they are. Every page gets a "Book now" button for it.

Is there really no monthly fee?

Yes. The only ongoing cost is your web address, about $20–30 a year, which you likely already pay.
